This results in an euphonium mouthpiece that excels in accuracy, articulation, flexibility, range and overall response.

The X line of euphonium mouthpieces in the Steven Mead Ultra series from Denis Wick provides a more brilliant sound than their standard Ultra and Classic counterparts. The X line has a rounded cup and a more defined bowl shape which adds more radiance to the tone and an improved upper register response. The rim has been has a slightly sharper inner edge for an increase in articulation accuracy and response.
