The Symphonic Collection of drumsticks and mallets from Vic Firth are the standard for many wind ensemble and orchestral percussionist around the world. Many are crafted from select pieces of persimmon - a rigid wood known for creating exceptional dark tones that are desired from concert percussionists. 

Tim Genis is a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s percussion section as well as a professor at Boston University. Working in collaboration with Vic Firth they designed his Signature General stick. The stick is well balanced with its medium taper and is suitable and versatile for any concert snare drum needs.
