Akai EWI5000 Professional Wireless Electronic Wind Instrument
The EWI5000 is the top of the line electronic digital wind instrument from Akai and is beloved among musicians around the world. The combination of its innovative design, wireless capabilities, an over 3GB SONiVOX library of sounds, and multitude of additional features and settings easily makes the EWI5000 one of the most versatile instruments for any musicians style of expression.
Low latency 2.4GHz wireless connectivity is included with the EWI5000 system. The wireless is stereo supported. Both wired USB and MIDI options are also available making the Akai EWI suitable for studio, stage, and every performance setting in between.
The EWI5000's mouthpiece is made of an ultra sensitive air-pressure level and bite sensor for precise and accurate volume and dynamic pitch control. Near the mouthpiece are eight dials for even more meticulous manipulation for the exact sound and tonal color that you want. Adjust filter, reverb, chorus, LFO, breath amount, bite amount, semitone tuning, and fine tuning, all on the fly with ease.
Fingering modes can be adjusted on the EWI5000 to suit both traditional woodwind and brass players alike. Flute, oboe, and saxophone fingering modes are included, as well as Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) mode for brass players.
Multiple outputs are also available! USB-MIDI and Five-Pin MIDI ports are on the EWI5000 to control software, virtual, and traditional samplers and modules. A 1/4 output is available on both the instrument itself and the wireless receiver for direct connection to PA systems. It even has an 1/8 headphone jack for private and quiet practicing. A USB cable and wall adapter are included for charging the battery.
To top it all off, the EWI5000 also comes with sound editing software. The software can be used by plugging in your instrument to any Mac or PC. From here, your library of sounds can be adjusted with filtering, two LFO, panning, tuning, and multiple envelop controls for a tone that is entirely unique and new.
