Every Artisan Bb trumpet is made with a one-piece, hand-hammered, yellow brass bell. Each bell is made with a flat rim and special acoustic treatment. With this manufacturing process, this model has a bigger core as well as a broader range of color. The valves are made with nickel balusters and brass casings. This is a call back to the build techniques used by Vincent Bach when making Bach trumpets in New York City and Mount Vernon, New York. Monel pistons come with a set of brass valve guides and a set of plastic valve guides. The 3rd valve comes with a removable tone enhancing ring installed. The extended 3rd slide rod stop allows the player to extend the range to low F. 1st slide split ring, enhanced radius ferrules, and sculpted bracing all contribute to the unique response. Combine the bell and leadpipe with a .459" medium large bore, and the player gets a well-rounded sound well suited for all types of music.
