Andreas Eastman BL80 bows are entirely hand made pernambuco wood violin bows. They are very similar to their BL60 counterparts but are made with a much more select piece of wood. The stick is select with strict criteria such as emphasis on grain straightness, uniformity of color, density, strength, and absence of blemishes. The BL80 also features the following:

• Frog: Nickel-mounted ebony with mother-of-pearl slide and Parisian eye
• Lapping: Silver-plated wire winding or Imitation whalebone
• Grip: Genuine leather
• Hair: Genuine unbleached Mongolian horsehair
